Terms and conditions
These terms and conditions apply to every order placed via www.stadesks.com with Stadesks. By placing an order, you accept these terms. Deviations are only valid if we expressly confirm them by email and prior to payment. The version is dated September 26, 2026.

2. Definitions
- Consumer: a natural person acting for purposes outside their trade, business, craft, or professional activity.
- Professional client: a buyer who orders on behalf of a company, profession, or organization.
- Product: an electric sit-stand desk, a frame, a corner desk, a set with an office chair, a side table, or any other item listed on the product page.
- Agreement: the purchase that is concluded when we confirm your order via email.
3. Applicability
These terms apply to the offer on the website, to the order, and to the delivery. If you refer to your own purchasing terms when placing an order, we reject them unless we have accepted them in writing. For professional clients, a quotation and these terms may apply together. If a sentence in the quotation conflicts with this text, the quotation takes precedence on that point.
Mandatory consumer law in Belgium or the Netherlands continues to apply if you are a consumer. Any provision in these terms that would exclude that right will not be applied to such a consumer.
4. The offer
The offer is valid as long as the product is on the site and while stocks last. Obvious errors, such as a price of one euro for a complete desk due to a typo, are not binding on us. We may correct such an offer and refuse the order. If you have already paid, we will fully refund the amount received.
Photos show the model as faithfully as is reasonably possible. Wood grain, an oak decor, or a black tabletop may look slightly different on your screen than in the room. The text on the product page, the chosen variant, and these terms determine what you are buying. Measurements are in centimeters and may have a standard manufacturing tolerance. A deviation that does not essentially affect the use and falls within that tolerance is not a defect.
Features apply only if they are stated on the product page of the chosen model. A USB-C charger, four memory settings, dual motors, LED lighting, or a carrying capacity of up to 100 kg or 120 kg are therefore not included in every desk.
5. The agreement
Your order is an offer to buy. The agreement is concluded when we confirm that order via email. An automatic receipt confirmation from the payment screen is only such acceptance if it confirms the contents of the order. We may refuse an order in the event of an obvious pricing error, a suspicion of fraud, or if we cannot deliver the product within the stated period. In the latter case, we will propose a longer term, which you can accept or refuse. If you refuse, no agreement is concluded and we will refund any amount already received.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are in euros and include VAT, unless a business quotation states a price excluding VAT. Shipping costs are shown separately during the checkout process before you pay. No additional costs will be added after payment.
You pay using a method available at that moment during the checkout process. We ship after payment has been successful, unless the quotation for a professional client states a different payment term. If payment is not made, we will not execute the order.
7. Delivery
The delivery time in Belgium and the Netherlands is 7 to 10 working days after the order confirmation that follows a successful payment. Further rules, including tracking, absence, transport damage, and risk, are on the Shipping page. That page is part of the agreement.
The risk of loss or damage passes to a consumer when the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer who is not the carrier, physically receives the product. Ownership passes after full payment.
In-home assembly is not included unless the product page expressly states otherwise.
8. Right of withdrawal and trial period
A consumer may withdraw from the agreement within 14 days of the day of receipt without giving any reason. Stadesks additionally provides a commercial trial period of 30 days after delivery. The method of withdrawal, the condition of the product, return costs, and reimbursement are on the Returns page. That page is part of the agreement.
Professional clients have no legal right of withdrawal unless the quotation provides one.
9. Conformity and warranty
The product must comply with the agreement. For consumers in Belgium, a two-year legal guarantee of conformity applies from the date of delivery. For consumers in the Netherlands, the statutory conformity regulation applies, with a 12-month burden of proof presumption. A manufacturer's warranty of up to five years applies when and as stated on the product page, in addition to legal rights. The procedure is on the Warranty page.
10. Complaints
You should email complaints about an order, an invoice, or the execution of the agreement to [email protected], including the order number. We will confirm receipt and aim to provide a substantive response within fourteen days. If the assessment takes longer, we will inform you within those fourteen days and provide a new timeline.
If you cannot resolve the issue with us and are a consumer in Belgium, you can contact the Consumer Mediation Service. Information is available on the website of the FPS Economy. If you are a consumer in the Netherlands, you can submit the dispute to the competent court, and where a dispute committee exists for this type of purchase, to that committee. This path does not limit your right to go to court.
11. Liability
We are liable for damage that is the direct result of a shortcoming attributable to us. We do not limit that liability for death or personal injury caused by our act or omission, nor where the law prohibits a limitation, particularly in cases of intent or willful recklessness and regarding the mandatory rights of a consumer.
For other damage suffered by a consumer, we limit our liability to the amount you paid for the relevant product, insofar as the law allows such limitation. We are not liable for indirect damage such as loss of profit or lost working time, insofar as such exclusion is valid against a consumer.
For a professional client, liability is limited to the amount of the relevant invoice, except in cases of intent or willful recklessness.
You must use the desk according to the manual and within the weight capacity stated on the product page. Damage resulting from someone sitting or standing on the tabletop, or from exceeding the maximum weight, is not a shortcoming on our part.
Texts on the site regarding sitting and standing are general information. They do not constitute medical advice. See also the disclaimer.
12. Force majeure
If a shortcoming is the result of a circumstance beyond our control and the consequences of which we could not have prevented, such as a prolonged failure by the carrier, a fire in the warehouse, or a government measure, we will suspend delivery. We will notify you by email. If the situation lasts longer than thirty days, you may rescind the agreement for the undelivered part. We will then refund the amount paid for that part. In such a case, we are not liable for any compensation for the delay itself.
13. Intellectual property
Texts, photos, and the layout of the webshop remain the property of Stadesks or the rights holder from whom we have a license. You may not copy a product page to fill your own webshop. You may, however, share a link to a product.
14. Applicable law and competent court
The agreement is governed by Dutch law. This choice of law does not deprive a consumer of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country where they have their habitual residence. For a consumer in Belgium, the mandatory rules of Belgian consumer law therefore continue to apply where they are more favorable.
A dispute with a consumer may be submitted by that consumer to the court of their place of residence, according to the rules applicable to consumers. A dispute with a professional client will be submitted by the parties to the competent court in the district where Stadesks is established, unless mandatory law designates another court.
15. Final provisions
If any provision is void or invalid, the other provisions remain in force. We will replace the invalid sentence with a valid one that approaches the intended meaning as closely as possible. The Dutch text of these terms is the authentic text.
